About us

Hong Kong French Papers was first established as an attempt to create a bridge between English-speaking professionals and individuals and their French-speaking counterparts in Hong Kong.

Our French founder holds solid French academic qualifications in linguistics, with doctoral studies in psycholinguistics, didactics and phonetics. She has taught French as a first and foreign language in cultural, diplomatic and educational contexts in Asia for twenty years, and  has always been enjoying translating linguistics and language-related research work at the same time. Having Hong Kong as her base for the last two decades, it seemed like a logical next step in her career to create a company that provides good quality French language-related services to clients, in the city and abroad.

Having a  great passion for floristry in general and holding a florist's certificate, she chose to include this field in her specialisations and aims to help florists around the world  share their art with French-speaking markets and readers, through Hong Kong French Paper's blog, among others. 

A life without linguistics  would no longer have the same flavour. Multilingual science is a core belief that led our founder to join the Helsinki Initiative for multilingualism in scholarly communication . That's why Hong Kong French Papers also has a platform to share translated into French abstracts with French-speaking linguists and academic circles around the world. Popularising and disseminating linguistics-related research work into French-speaking circles is made easier through carefully crafted online academic profiles, subtitled videos and translated abstracts, all shared with French-speaking departments around the world.
